Mr Griffin is wiry, with thinning dark brown hair. He has red-rimmed dark eyes and broken blood vessels around his nose. There is some facial resemblance between Nathan and his father, but Mr Griffin is shorter and smaller[1].
Biography[]
Mr Griffin is Nathan's father.
He works as a helicopter pilot, making trips between Charleston and New York, occasionally to Florida. He is rarely home[2].
Mr Griffin is physically and verbally abusive to Nathan. Nathan used to escape to the Lee house, but once his dad worked out that Nathan went there he had to stop, as he didn't want his dad to hurt Mrs Lee or Jessica. Nathan's mother was forced to leave due to similar abuse[3].
When Nathan joined the Academy, they sobered Mr Griffin up, updated his training and got him the job flying around New York. Occasionally he would relapse, return home for a weekend and drink anything he could get his hands on, before leaving again[4].
